John Guszkowski
* Immediate Past President of Connecticut RC&D
John served as the CT RC&D Council President for 25 years, long sat on the Northeast Association of RC&D Councils Board of Directors, and formerly held a position on the NARCDC Board of Directors as well.
Under John’s leadership, CT RC&D serves the public interest, coordinates efforts across sectors, considers the big picture, is resilient, and continuously strives to achieve high standards of integrity and proficiency. John’s ambition can be seen throughout the programs and initiatives in CT RC&D’s history. It would be my pleasure to share in detail the many programs and initiatives that John has influenced in, but space does not allow.
Through his innovative programs, initiatives, and research areas, he has shown the value of ambitious ideas and partnership-based approaches. John’s accomplishments can be seen making impacts across agricultural, economic, and natural resource sectors, which makes him a great candidate for the NARCDC Board of Directors.
John, as a leader, empowers his teams to utilize their skills to the best of their abilities, while always being available as a mentor. CT RC&D’s success in pioneering initiatives that have moved Connecticut forward in its approach to agriculture, conservation, and rural development is due, not only to John’s professional contributions but, to his expert ability to harness the skills of many to accomplish shared goals. This ability has proven to be an important asset to the Connecticut RC&D Council, and we are sure will be to the NARCDC Board of Directors as well.
